Buttermilk Falls Resort is a hidden gem in the Algonquin Highlands ~ once you discover it, you are sure to come back again and again! Our resort is reached by a short private road which gets it away from the highway, letting our guests forget about traffic and just enjoy the sound of white water cascading down the falls.

With over 11 acres, the 9 cottages are all nicely spread out so that our guests are never “on top of” each other, but close enough that you can make new friends, or rediscover old ones each time you visit. With 200 ft of sandy beach, a shallow entry that extends 60 ft before it getting deep, it’s the ideal place to go for a swim, throw a frisbee, or just laze in a floating ring. For those interested in exploring the lake we provide complimentary kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boards.

Want to bring you own boat? We have you covered. Our dock has room for 6 boats, and just south of the resort the lake opens up and is ideal for cruising, tubing, and water skiing.
