Make Buttermilk Falls Resort your basecamp for your winter escape. Enjoy our cozy cottages, each with its own wood stove, full kitchen and weber BBQ. the Ice Fishing is a short walk from the resort down our ice road, or stay on the land and make snowmen, snow angels, go tobogganing, or sit around the bonfire with a mug of hot chocolate.
Ice Fishing
During the winter months we are famous for our ice fishing. Enjoy one of our heated ice huts and a cold beverage while you fish for Lake Trout, Pickerel, White Fish and Ling Cod. Our huts are on 60-70 ft of water a short walk from the cottages. We provide bait and tip-ups (if you need them), and if the weather is nice we are more than happy to cut you a hole outside where you can enjoy the day and try to catch the big one.
Ice Fishing Packages
Valid Ontario fishing license required
- 2 night stay and 1 day of ice fishing from $197.00/person based on maximum occupancy *
- 2 night stay and 2 days of ice fishing from $257.00/person based on maximum occupancy *
- Fish 1 day free mid week (Monday – Thursday) with minimum 2 night stay. Huts, bait and tip-ups included.
* Based on 8 people fishing and staying in cottage 6, 7 or 9. Other cottages are slightly more.
Ice Hut Rental
- Includes heated ice huts, bait and tip-ups included
- $60.00 per person per day (only available with cottage rental))
- Children (accompanied by an adult) under 16 fish for free
